Welcome, Jon Hines is an award winning, national touring blues musician living in Cape Breton.

 

Jon Hines is a Cape Breton based blues recording and touring artist. With many accolades under his belt, such as nominations and awards for his solo work, Jon is working on his new band project. Fresh out of the studio, with a new album to be released this mighty Trio has been playing festivals all over the Maritimes. Expressing some swampy, gritty guitar slide licks, infused with  story telling and a power duo rhythm section.

Jon is partnered with Godin Guitars, Black Mountain Picks and Wild Dog Stomp Boxes.

BIO

Jon Hines of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia has toured throughout Canada in his young career as a blues man. 2023 winner Music Nova Scotia Blues Recording of the year 2023, 2022 nominated blues recoding of the year East Coast Music Association and winner of the East Coast Blues Society’s “Maritime to Memphis Blues Challenge”. Jon is an official artist of Black Mountain Picks, Godin Guitars, Wild Dog Stomp boxes. “A Pale Blue Dot” has seen radio play nationally across Canada, and internationally in UK and the United States of America. Jon Hines & Joe Murphy started a duo after a recording session for “A Pale Blue Dot”. Jon is a semi finalist in the international songwriting competition two years in a row, 2017 and 2018.
